Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

Matanginui moved into the refurbished block in 2013, it is called "The Hub" as it sits in the middle of the school and the students are learning together in a collaborative innovative learning environment (ILE). In the Hub the students work towards becoming Self Directed Learners, making decisions about their own learning, to enable them to strive to reach their full potential.
You can see what is happening in Matanginui by going to our Team Facebook page.
