This name again is a shortened version of the word manga, or stream, and this peak is the name of the many streams, which flow down from the mountain, which are noisy as they swiftly plunge their way to the plains. Hence the babbling singing streams.

Teaching Team: Matanginui
Years: Years 5 and 6
Team Leader: Jess Brett

Team MatanginuiMatanginui moved into the refurbished block in 2013, it is called "The Hub" as it sits in the middle of the school and the students are learning together in a collaborative innovative learning environment (ILE). In the Hub the students work towards becoming Self Directed Learners, making decisions about their own learning, to enable them to strive to reach their full potential.

Raewynne Hill

Hi, my name is Raewynne Hill and I am one of the 4 teachers in The Hub this year. I can’t wait to get to know all of the new students in the Hub and get started on an exciting year of learning. I have a strong interest in both literacy and art. I have had the pleasure of working at Central Normal School for a number of years and I am thrilled to be working in our exciting modern learning environment. Outside of school, I have three children aged 16, 18 and 20. The two older ones are both at university and my daughter is at secondary school. My husband is also a teacher, at Milson School. Please feel free to pop in before or after school or contact me through my school email if you have any queries. I hope you all had a fabulous time with your families over the holidays. I am looking forward to a great term of learning in The Hub this year.
