At Central Normal School, we believe that the active and authentic involvement of students in their learning is crucial to engagement and achievement.
Students actively drive WISE within the school.
We believe that students are the heart of Central Normal School and actively seek student voice to make OUR school a great learning environment.
Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

Drive In Movie On Thursday 4 April at 5.30pm,
We are hosting our first ever drive in movie at Central!
Children are encouraged to make their own car to sit in for the movie. The movie to be screened is The Incredibles 2, which is a high action superhero movie.
Tickets for the movie are $5 and can be purchased from the school office. Rather than giving out actual tickets, the office will write down your child’s name as proof of their purchase. The $5 will give your child entry to the movie and a snack box to enjoy during the movie.
