Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

NZEI, the union responsible for primary teachers, have called nationwide paid union meetings to update all teachers about the ongoing negotiations with the Ministry of Education and the government.
The meeting that suits our teachers the best is being held on Friday 22 March at 1.30pm. In order to allow our teachers to attend this meeting, we will finish early Friday 22 at 12.50pm (lunchtime).
We ask that you collect your children from school at this time. If you are unable to collect your child/ren at this time, there will be limited cover available for the remainder of the school day.
A separate letter accompanies this newsletter with further information and a return slip for you to complete.
