HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES @ TE MANAWA Fun holiday activities for children 6-12 years. April Holiday Programme at Kingston Street Community Church

This programme is for 5 – 11 year old children for the week of 16th April from 10.00 a.m. – 12.30p.m. each day.  Games, crafts, puppets and lots of fun.  Gold coin donation for each session.

Kiwi Kids Learn:  A new education magazine has been launched for parents and caregivers to support their children to be all they can be.  Kiwi Kids Learn is a fantastic resource and full of useful information to use with school age or preschool children.  Kiwi Kids learn also includes two sections specifically for kids.  There is a dedicated 8-page lift-out for the kids with activities and games.  There is also a section within the magazine for students to ‘showcase’ their work to the rest of New Zealand.  To find out more or to order a copy go to www.kiwikidslearn.yolasite.com

Camp Parents Meeting

Parents who wish to accompany the Year 5 and 6 children to camp in May are reminded that a meeting will be held in the school staffroom Next Monday 29th March at 6.00p.m.

 

Parents of children in year 5 & 6 are also reminded that fees are due and if

planning to pay off a start needs to be made urgently as it is only 5 weeks until camp week!

 

Winter Sports

Netball If your child would like to play netball for Central Normal enrolment forms are available at reception.  All enrolments need to be in by Wednesday 31st March.  Fees will need to be paid by Wednesday 28th April.

All year 5 & 6 girls playing netball this season will have trials next Tuesday 30th March from 3.00 – 3.45p.m. at school.

Winter Hockey  The season is just around the corner.  If your child is interested in playing Miss Franklin (Room 11) is organising a meeting next Tuesday 30th March at lunchtime.  Notices will be given out with information about the winter season and fees.

 

School Donation/Stationery

Thank you to everyone who has paid to date.  A reminder at we do appreciate the pressures on finances at this time of year.  Invoices will be send home for all stationery that remains unpaid at the end of term.

 

Easter Raffle

There has been a great response to this fundraiser.  Thank you to all the families who have sold books.  We are still looking for a few books – if you have one at home we would appreciate it returned to school TOMORROW.

 

Board of Trustees Election

Nomination forms and information about the election has been posted out to all families on the voting roll.  If you would like to check the voting roll please come into the school office during office hours.  Remember nominations close at noon on 23 April, 2010.

 

Last Day of Term 1
