Dear Parents, Welcome to another busy week.

Parent/Teacher/Child Conferences:

Thank you to everyone who has already returned their Parent Conference notice. We will do our best to accommodate your requested time. We are looking forward to meeting with you next week.

We will talk to you at the conference about the level your child is achieving at and what we can do to keep their learning progressing. We would also like to have a conversation with you about what you can do to help with your child’s learning. This is a partnership we really value. We will not have time to talk to you in general about National Standards as only 10 minutes is allocated for each conference. We are still attending information sessions to learn more about the standards and their impact on our school. We will talk to you about them soon. Our Board of Trustees is also spending time getting their head around what the Standards mean to them.

Religious Instruction: This programme continues due to the results of the parent consultation in mid 2009. We absolutely respect any parents wish for their child not to attend the sessions. Please let your child’s teacher know and we can provide them with another learning option during this time. Please be reassured this will be undertaken sensitively.

Raffle Tickets:Wow! What a great response we have had with our raffle tickets. Thank you to everyone who has sold a book. We would love your unsold book returned tomorrow as some families wish to sell more. We really appreciate parents and whanau supporting our school. We will be drawing the winners before Easter.
