Welcome to week 2 Term 4. We do hope the weather will warm up for the long weekend and everyone will have an enjoyable family time.  Remember NO SCHOOL FOR THE CHILDREN TOMORROW FRIDAY 23RD TEACHER ONLY DAY.

 

Welcome to  Peiwen, Zak,  Alica, Israel, Taihana, Akuhata, Maxwell, Elijah, Isaac, Kareena, Trophy, Terrea, and Tyler, we know you will enjoy being part of the Central Normal family.

 

Parents of children who sat the ICAS English exam  are invited to assembly next Tuesday morning  at 9.00a.m.where the certificates will be presented.

 

Class Photos – have you checked the proof at your child’s classroom to check spelling?  Orders cost $12.00 each and close at the school office on 2nd November. 

 

iMOVE October 28 –November 11th

Whether it’s walking, cycling, scootering, or skateboarding, children will be coming to school actively with iMOVE.  Encourage your children to get involved – leave the car at home and join them! Get their iMOVE card stamped and go into the draw for a range of prizes.

Netball Skills & Knowledge for year 2 and 3 children, 5 weeks only, held at the B & M Ballroom.  Interested families can contact Sharon Cook phone 3588792 or TXT 021 1493536 or 027 4579313.  Numbers are limited.

Find out about the new maths curriculum at Campbell Street Kindergarten 7.00 – 8.00p.m. 28th October, 2009.  Trevor Saunders will talk with parents about linking the new curriculum with school.  Refreshments will be available.

The Art Buffet affordable local artwork, hand made gifts and more at 1 Botanical Road from Saturday 24th October 10a.m. – 2.00p.m. and every Wednesday and Saturday until Christmas.

Halloween Party Friday 30th October at Highbury Whanau Centre 6.30 – 9p.m. Ages U7’s to U15’s. Admission $5.  Good prizes.  Proceeds to Womens Touch Team.

Magic at the Globe Sunday 25th October 1.30 0r 4p.m.  Tickets available from Ticketdirect.

Wellington Phoenix v Sydney FC at FMG stadium Saturday 12 December at 7.00p.m. At the school office we have a number of vouchers available for children to receive a FREE ticket when purchasing an adult ticket by 30th October.

Bluelight Halloween Disco Arena 3 (Pascal Street entrance) Saturday 31st October 5.00 – 6.30p.m. $5.00 entry fee for primary school children.

What Now Water Safety Campaign – 200m club.  Register on the What Now website www.whatnow.tv   After signing up you will be sent a 200m passport to document your progress.  Once you can swim 200m you will receive a certificate and bracelet.  Each week there will be spot prizes.

Te Aroha Noa has a new programme out for Term 4. The following are on offer:  Sewing, Personal grooming, Oamaru Stone/Sculpture, Parenting thru Separation, Pasefika Pulse & Housing NZ, Mystery Movie Night, Fun Swim Sessions, Party in the Park. Check it on their website www.tearohanoa.org.nz
