At Central Normal School, we believe that the active and authentic involvement of students in their learning is crucial to engagement and achievement.
Students actively drive WISE within the school.
We believe that students are the heart of Central Normal School and actively seek student voice to make OUR school a great learning environment.
Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

On Wednesday 3 July, we have leading Cybersafety Expert, John Parsons, at our school.
John will spend the day with our Year 5/6 children, sharing with them how to be safe online and then he will host a parent session in the evening. His presentation is not to be missed!
John supports parents with how to keep their children safe on the internet and what signs to look out for. His presentation is a MUST attend.
