At Central Normal School, we believe that the active and authentic involvement of students in their learning is crucial to engagement and achievement.
Students actively drive WISE within the school.
We believe that students are the heart of Central Normal School and actively seek student voice to make OUR school a great learning environment.
Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

Our school tryathlon - deliberately spelt to emphasise the ‘try’ (give it a go) will be held next Friday 1 March.
With the swimming pool not being available, the three events for the triathlon will be: biking, running and then a slip and slide.
Children will need to bring their bikes, covered shoes and togs/towel to participate in the event. Bikes can be positioned on the netball courts behind Akomanga 13 and 14.
The tryathlon will begin at 9.15am with the Year 1/2 children participating first.
Juniors: 9:15 am - 10:00 am
Middle: 10:15 am - 11:00 am
Seniors: 11:45 am - 12:20pm
All family and whanau are welcome to come along.
