We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

At Central Normal School, we believe that the active and authentic involvement of students in their learning is crucial to engagement and achievement.
Students actively drive WISE within the school.
We believe that students are the heart of Central Normal School and actively seek student voice to make OUR school a great learning environment.
Not long now until the first day of school! Staff have had two days of fantastic professional learning in preparation for the first days and the school year.
It is incredibly hot today and weather reports indicate that this heat will continue for the rest of the week. School Hats are an absolute MUST and are school policy for Term 1. If your child does not have a hat, these can be purchased at the school office. Water is the BEST drink and we encourage your child to have a full water bottle at school each day.
If you know of anyone families who have moved into the area and would like to enrol their children, please get them to visit the school office as soon as possible. We are really excited about the year at Central Normal/Te Kura Tuatahi o Papaioea and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday 31 January for our first day.
