It was from here that the Rangitane people on both sides of the ranges would light great fires to signal their relatives on the other side the need for assistance in times of trouble. It also refers to the whetu marama, the eight pointed star and the eight pathways.
E ngā waewae tapu, To the first time visitors
E ngā mana, , To the prestige

Tēna tātou kōutou,
Welcome everyone to my profile, I have been employed as a classroom teacher at Central Normal School for eleven years in Te Arawaru Bilingual unit. I believe each and every tamaiti has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I help my tamariki in my class to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I assist my tamariki in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas.
My emphasis is on providing opportunity for learning through Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga. I am extremely focused on raising achievement for all students.
Nōreira, kia hora te mārino, kia whakapapa pounamu te moana, Kia tere karohirohi i mua i tōu huiarahi Maruatanga. Amene.
Therefore, may calm be spread around you, may the sea glisten like greenstone and the shimmer of summer dance across your pathway to educational. God bless.
