At Central Normal School, we believe that the active and authentic involvement of students in their learning is crucial to engagement and achievement.
Students actively drive WISE within the school.
We believe that students are the heart of Central Normal School and actively seek student voice to make OUR school a great learning environment.
Central Normal School is a vibrant learning environment where we encourage whanau to share all learning with their tamariki. There are regular events that enable students to demonstrate their increasing understanding across all curriculum areas.
We offer quality teaching and learning by providing diversity and variety throughout our teaching teams. Each team provides stimulating and exciting learning opportunities for students making use of modern learning environments and ICT.
At Central Normal School classrooms are colourful, organised and reflect children’s learning.

The Graduate Profile depicts the attitudes, values and knowledge that the learners of Central Normal School will take to their next place of learning. Feathers are added to the cloak as the students gain more knowledge, skills, and values until it becomes a complete cloak. The cloak represents the whanau and community wrapping around the learners to provide support with their learning and development.
